about
Following on from the several gigs played in London venues during 2018, The Kanz releases their debut single “Relativism” on 26th March. The band is known in London for their high-energy shows with entertaining, emotionally involving and innovative punk rock/ alternative music.
Support for this emerging band looks set to continue and grow on the release of the latest single ‘Relativism’. Fans of punk rock shows will be pleased to hear Fabio Nania (lead singer) stealing the show with his captivating strong rock vocal tone and Duncan McTaggart ( synth player) bringing a brand new electronic sound that takes the punk rock scene to a whole new level of party vibe. With emotive and philosophical lyrics, the track was written by the lead singer Fabio Nania and produced by the visionary Italian producer Matteo Cardillo. The strength and sentiment of the sound really mark this track out. Fabio describes the meaning by saying, “’Relativism’ is a song that’s written about the struggle of labelling what’s true and what’s false, what’s right and what’s wrong, what’s real and what’s illusion. It deals with the fear of living a life made of lies and blind paths. However, by the end of the song it’s clear that I don’t even know if what I am saying is rational and objective. The crisis of the human being is screamed out into a long rock anthem underlining the fragility of our opinions and the missing truth that we keep on looking for.”
The Kanz’s sound continues to assert itself with this powerful mashed-up genre born by the influence of Punk Rock, Alternative Rock and Electronic Music.
Familiar genres can also be glimpsed but ultimately the listener is immersed in The Kanz’ s new futuristic rock world and dramatic vision. An assured musical confidence creating a wall of sound encapsulating a deep inner reflection and at times a message of rebirth: a return to the true awareness of today’s human condition.
Follow the Kanz on all social networks as the band continues to play gigs around the London circuit.
lyrics
STROPHE 1:
Somebody said to me
We re like an hardware
Encoding reality
Categorize it
Just to prove to be owners of our lives (to own the life)
For all the questions there’s
Thousand solutions
But everyone believes
In their illusion
Just to feel that the truth is not a Lie (..it s not a lie)
But I m just out of these blind chains
Relativism
I ll become the mine of all your deep certainties
I m the one, Voltaire’ s son, burning the truth you know
RIT:
There ‘ s nothing so right or so wrong
The meanings of life are undone
Relativity saves me from the prison of lying good roads
Come to my universe, come..
Strophe 2:
Are you still trying to
Convert my whole brain
Asphyxiating soon
My desire to blame
Your attempt to be owner of your life (to own the life)
In all the TV shows,
The whole discussions
Destroyed by the sense
of absolution
just to feel that the truth is not a lie ( it s not a Lie)
But I m just out of these blind chains
Relativism
Sing it once, sing it twice,
I d love to stop the fight
It s not yours, it s not mine
Let’s make this compromise
RIT:
There ‘ s nothing so right or so wrong
The meanings of life are undone
Relativity saves me from the prison of lying good roads
Come to my universe, come..
BRIDGE:
I m not telling you black is white
I m not asking to use shining
But everytime you guess why?
Remember I can deny it
Sing it once, sing it twice,
I d love to stop the fight
It s not yours, it s not mine
Open your fucking mind
RIT:
There ‘ s nothing so right or so wrong
The meanings of life are undone
Relativity saves me from the prison of lying good roads
Come to my universe, come..
